Mr. Mannan, Chairman and Managing Director of Butterfly Marketing Limited and Managing Director of Butterfly Electronics Limited, started his career as a service holder. He joined in T & T Department in 1963 where he served for three years. In 1966 he changed his job and joined in Singer Bangladesh Limited. He had spent rest of his service life here until he left job in 1986. His last assignment was National Sales Manager. In his long service career, he acquired vast knowledge in management and consumer goods marketing. He has visited U.S.A., U.K., Canada, France, Portugal, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka and several other countries to explore business possibilities. In his personal life, he is married and dutiful father of three offspring two sons and one daughter. Mr. Syed Asaduzzaman, Director (Sales & Credit) has been involved in different types of business from his youths. He has a backdrop of strong family tradition in business. He operated his own business, beside operating his father's business when he was a college student. In his long course of business he gathered vast experience in the field of trade and commerce. He entered into service in 1984 in Singer Bangladesh Limited, where he served for three years. During his service period, he capitalised the opportunity to widen the horizon of his knowledge in management and consumer goods marketing. In 1987, he left his job and collaborated with Mr. Mannan, the Chairman and Managing Director of Butterfly Marketing Limited, as the director of the same company. Mr. Zaman is also the Chairman of the Butterfly Electronics Limited and is the active most partner of Mr. Mannan. He travelled Chaina, Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore, India and Nepal to explore business opportunities. In his personal life, he is married with two sons. - Served as Chief Executive of Industrial Product in Singer Bangladesh Ltd. for 12 yrs. - Visited several Asian countries for business purpose. Mustafizur Rahman Shazid, Director (Operations) of the Company, is the youngest son of Company's Managing Director Mr. M. A. Mannan. He is an Aerospace Engineer graduated from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras, India which is ranked 7th in the world in this field. During his tenure in IIT, Madras Mr. Mustafiz had the opportunity to mix with different class of people with diverse background and experience which in turn helped him immensely in shaping up his own personalities. After finishing his studies, he joined Butterfly as an Area Manager on August 1995. Simultaneously he is undergoing an M. B. A. program in University of Dhaka. Currently he is doing his last of four semesters and expecting to be graduated by January of 1998. Mr. Mustafiz believes that with his technical background and business studies coupled with practical experiences will help him extensively in contributing positively to the future development and prospect of Butterfly. In his personal life, he is single. |
