Bangladesh Bank is the controlling
authority anything in banking sector. Under the rules and regulations of
Bangladesh Bank, there are some govt operated banks i.e., Sonali
Bank, Janata Bank, Rupali Bank, Bangladesh Krishi Bank, Agrani Bank, Pubali
Bank, Uttara Bank etc.
Some other local banks are - Prime Bank, City Bank, Bangladesh Shilpa Bank, Bank of Small Industries & Commerce Bangladesh Ltd, Eastern Bank, South-East Bank, Dhaka Bank, IFIC Bank, Al-Baraka Bank etc. |

Bangladesh has some financial institute those controls the loan and investment in Bangladesh. Bangladesh Shilpa Rin Sangstha, House Building Finance Corp., Investment Corporation of Bangladesh are these sort of organizations. |

Banks
Some foreign banks have also invested in Bangladesh. They are working fine so far. Most of the foreign Banks are fully equips with computer and modern facilities. Standard Chartered bank is the first bank that has introduced ATM system and MoneyLink Program in Dhaka and Chittagong city. ANZ Grindlays bank is one the way to setup their ATM system. ANZ has started Credit Card System for local currency (taka) only. American Express Bank, Banque Indosuez, Dutch Bangla Bank, Hong Kong Bank, State Bank Of India are the other international banks operating in Bangladesh. |
